Well... today was a waste. We left for the airport at 10:30 am, and arrived at 11:30 to find out our flight was delayed until 5 pm. If we were smart, we would have turned around and gone back to the resort. But a taxi would have been about $60 and since it was an hour each way, we weren't sure it was worth it. In the end, our flight was delayed seven hours (seite horas), and we were FOOLS not to leave.We spent an entire day in the Caribbean at the airport listening to horrendous music piped in through the intercom. On the up side, however, I got a ton of wedding photos processed and probably worked at least seven hours today. Anyway, I didn't want to bore you with a photo of the airport, so I snapped this morning beach shot before we left today. I had hoped to get a shot of the coastline from the air and this was my backup. Little did I know it would be DARK by the time we took off.It looks like we'll land around 2 a.m. at this point (I am writing this from the plane to post upon arrival) and we both work tomorrow. But since I just got to spend a week on the beach getting massages and drinking margaritas, I'm just gonna let it slide, stop complaining and remember how fortunate I am not to be one of the fools working at the airport all day in Cancun while wearing a grass skirt and listening to Jimmy Buffet. Because that would be WAY worse.
