This is the much adored Beret, who has been helping us care for our dogs for the last, oh, seven years. We've known her since she was in middle school (starting middle school, I believe) and now here I am taking her senior portrait as we discuss where she might want to go to college. Hot damn, I feel old.The most surprising part of today's shoot was when we were hiking through a very small grove of woods between the city lakes when I mentioned a friend of mine had seen deer in the area a few years before. And Beret says, "Oh yeah. Look. There are two right there!"Seriously. RIGHT there. RIGHT when I said that. They watched our photo session for a bit and I tried to get a shot or two of them (didn't have my zoom lens today). But what a fun surprise!
