Today was so dang great. Could every Sunday be like this? Pretty please? We slept in, ran a few errands and then laid around eating cold fruit reading all day. It was like being at the cabin, but being home with my fabulous new bathroom instead. I'm reading this great new book?(dear god let the ending be as good as the beginning and middle have been), and between that and all the frozen grapes and cold watermelon, I just couldn't be bothered with the heat. Oh how nice it is to finally have a lazy summer day.This photo is of the orchids that our friends Spike and Kathie sent to us when Memphis died. They arrived in full bloom in December and then slowly died off, and now they came back with a TON more blooms -- I think there are 16 total! I would so love to take credit for keeping this plant alive, but I must give all the props to Jamie, who unbeknownst to us, is apparently an Orchid Whisperer. They are quite lovely, eh?
