Wow. It was even hotter today... try 101. For Minnesota in June, that's kinda ridiculous. And for all you people down south about to make fun of me, just remember that my house doesn't have central air, mmmk?Anyway, when I got home tonight, the plants were suffering. Many of the sixty (six-oh!) irises that bloomed this year had literally curled up and died in the heat -- much like this one. But do you know why I love these? Because look at that flower. Doesn't it look just like the horn player in The Cantina* in Star Wars?!? Right? And now I have that song in my head.Also, I don't know if that's dog hair or fibers from the plant. I'm just gonna tell myself it's plant fiber...* I am simply referring to it as "The Cantina" because when I asked Twitter I got responses for both "Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina" and "Mos Eisley" and it turns out the Internet says both are right, and I am not the person to settle that major talking point.
