Aaaaahhh, back at First Avenue where I belong. Tonight we checked out Heartless Bastards who we have heard nothing but wonderful things about from all of our critic friends. To be honest, I thought they sounded great live, but I wish they would have loosened up on stage a bit more. I like to see my musicians dance a little and have some fun.We only stayed for maybe 10 songs (they played a 2-hour set and then an encore, according to my twitter friends), and then we split. It wasn't that we weren't enjoying the music, but I am coming down with some sort of cold and I can feel it in my head, and I know how valuable sleep is at the onset of illness.
