Today I had a video training class that lasted ALL DAY LONG. For part of it we were given an assignment, and my partner and I did a bunch of interviews over at the Government Center. While on a quick break, I shot this image of the flag.

We filmed about 4 interviews and all kinds of "b-roll" shots on many levels of the g-center. But it was only when I brought out my SLR that the security cops came over to see what I was up to. They wanted to know what I was shooting for, and what the "purpose" of my photo blog was. Overall, very nice guys. But I was surprised that the video raised zero alarms and the still photo did.

I suspect it was because we were using flip cameras, and they didn't realize what we were doing. Just a theory.
