Meet Alison Mosshart. She is a force to be reckoned with on stage. She is one half of the duo The Kills, who I caught tonight at First Avenue. I'm not a huge fan of their recorded music, but live they are amazing. The way she moves on stage ... you just can't look away. You can see more of my photos over here.Perhaps the strangest part of the show, though, was the opener Cold Cave. In one of the last songs, the lead singer reached down to me in the photo pit (that was a first) and made a grab for my camera. Probably the only things I am more protective of than my camera would be my dogs. Anyway, turns out he just wanted to rub his microphone all around my camera/wrists to get some "cool sounding feedback." Or something. So that was completely bizarre.But as good of a review as that is for the show, I didn't stay for the whole thing, because Jamie got home from LA tonight, and I wanted to head home and hear all about his trip. It's good to have a full house again.
