Say hello to the crappiest shooting conditions I have yet to work in. We went to see A.A. Bondy tonight at The Entry, and we arrived to a pretty full house (the show was sold out, but we were more than an hour early). I finally found a decent spot with good sightlines for the opener (a band called Goldleaf, which was pretty good). Then A.A. Bondy came out on stage and the first thing he did was move the mic into the dark corner spot on stage. The second thing he did was make the sound guy kill all the lights in the club except for maybe 2 of the lights on stage. And he was dressed in all black, standing against a black wall. The third thing he did was PUT ON HIS SUNGLASSES. Uh huh.*Tech details for other photographers: It was so bad that I shot at an ISO of 5000. YEAH. I've certainly never done that before (and it explains the grain in this photo).I was so pissed that I almost posted an image from the Jonny Corndawg show last night instead since that was after midnight, and technically still today. And in fact, if you haven't yet, y'all should go look at those photos instead. Because unlike this guy, Mr. Corndawg was a ton of fun, and loved the spotlight.
