birthday girls

This afternoon, after class, my group of work buddies met for brunch over at the Bad Waitress to celebrate the birthdays of Nancy and Courtnay (seen above). We usually do this every year, along with celebrating Nan's birthday. But since she's hiding out in the mountains of Tennessee, we had to go on without her (we missed you lady!).This group has been through a lot on the last few years. We all used to work nights together at the paper, and we would eat dinner together a few times a week. But in the last five years, three have left the paper, two have become busy moms and two of us have switched to daytime work schedules. So while we used to see each other every night, now it's only two or three times a year. Still a lot of laughs though :) And don't those birthday girls look cute? I think so.
