byline

I've been working at newspapers since I was 16 years old, but in case you can't tell by now, I really like being in the background, so my bylines have been few and far between.Every single time I tell someone I work at a newspaper, the first question I get is: What do you write? It's interesting that no one ever thinks of all the people behind the scenes who edit, layout and work to make that horrendous deadline every day. Anyway, since my bylines are pretty rare in the Strib, I thought I'd post this one for my parents. I'm still not even sure *they* understand my role yet. ;)
