library

It was super foggy when I left for class early this morning, and I was hoping campus would be all eerie with the mist and make for haunting photos ... but it cleared up by the time I arrived. I did snap an image of the library though, just because I am personally fascinated by the idea of a University Library and how much use such buildings are getting now with this whole "internet sensation" thing that has happened. When I think back to college and how amazing Google could have made my experience, I'm kind-of floored.Anyway, I do think the buildings at the U of M are quite lovely. In fact, when I was in high school I applied to Minnesota, but never visited or took it seriously because all of the materials that were sent to me showed Washington Ave. and it looked extremely urban to me. I really wanted a more traditional campus feel, and I think had they sent me photos of these older buildings and all the green space, I might have given it more of a chance. Well... let's be real. They also would have needed to improve their basketball program. And alas, I can't write this post without linking to my alma mater's library, which I have always found to be gorgeous in its church-like architecture.
