live letters
Tonight I finally, FINALLY, got to see a show over at Live Letters. What's that? Well... it's a blog? Photography duo? Concert series? I don't know how to describe this project, but it's fun. My girl Sara started this blog a while back, which was fun to see because I have always loved seeing her perspective on concert photography. But then, she took it a step further and started booking shows in a loft in Minneapolis.I had heard the space was phenomenal and the shows were good, but it seemed I always had a conflict or something... UNTIL TONIGHT. Which was great because John Mark Nelson was playing, and I adore that kid and his skillz. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, go listen to him here. Seriously. You'll like it. EVEN YOU, MOM.) And kids? The sound in this loft is ah-mazing. So, so good. If you see an upcoming show there (the best way to learn about them is to like Live Letters on facebook), you should go. I promise you'll have fun.But wait. Doesn't this guy in the photo look familiar? Why yes, yes he does. I ran his photo back in August when my nieces were in town and we took them to 7th Street Entry for a concert. This was the band! Remember? Man, that was fun. The show tonight? That was really special. I can't wait to see these guys grow and expand. To see more photos from the show, look over here. And yes. It was so good to get out and join the living this evening.
