Today I had the honor of doing some photos for MPR's Wits series. I've written about this wonderful program several times before, and Jamie and I love to attend the shows. We've been fortunate enough to see Ted Leo, Aimee Mann, Paul F. Thompkins, Patton Oswalt, Metric, and David Koechner who had me laughing to the point of tears. Do you see a theme here? Super smart and hilarious entertainers for a night of ... well... laughing. And games. And music. It's great. (And you can get tickets to this fall season here, btw.)(My dream lineup in this show would be Seth Green and Arcade Fire... you know, in case anyone is paying attention and has money pouring out of their orifices.)So back to my photo! The amazing backing band at these shows is called The Witnesses and is led by John Munson (he's that guy up there, Mom)! You know this guy from Semisonic, but I love him even more for The New Standards. Anyway, the band is just one more ingredient to the hilarious evenings, and I cannot tell you how much laughing there was during today's shoot.  Good times.For today's internet share of the day, I'm sending you to this hilarious video of a guy waking up from surgery, and as the drugs wear off he doesn't recognize his wife. And the reaction is PRICELESS (and maybe a touch sappy).
