Meet ChiChi! I had a newborn session this morning -- wait, this afternoon -- and about halfway through the shoot, the parents let their dogs into the house and this little lady stole my heart. She was rescued from Mexico, so they're not sure of the breed, but she was dainty and so loveable. She ran upstairs to bring me her favorite toy ("George") who was a stuffed monkey that made monkey noises when squeezed.A little while later I was photographing the family and went back to my bag to change lenses, and ChiChi here was just licking and nuzzling George here and giving him so much love. It was adorable, so I captured the image above. You've been getting a lot of dogs lately because I've been going out at night and trying to get my blog done before I leave so I can go straight to bed. Last night, after posting Waffles, I headed out with a bunch of my girlfriends for a ladies night on the town. We ate delicious food, had amazing drinks and ended up at a huge dance party at First Avenue. And I didn't take my camera to any of it. And it was glorious.I got home at 3 am and woke up with freshly applied lipstick. And I'm as amazed as you are that I somehow didn't roll over all night and get it across my pillow. Oh, and what time did I wake up today? Try noon. The shoot was at 1. Hence the previous confusion regarding morning and afternoon. You guys? I need more fun nights like that in my life. So, so much laughter.Tonight Jamie and I are heading over to the Triple Rock to catch the Vaccines, who I love. I dont' think they'll hit the stage until after midnight, so I'll use those photos tomorrow. See you on the flipside...
