only eight hours old

Look at this guy! This is Jack, and he was born today! It is his literal birthday! I got a text from his mom at 6:30 this morning that he had arrived, and I got to the hospital as fast as I could to capture his first hours with us. I have to tell you, it was even more fun than I thought it would be. Jack's mom was super relaxed and funny and happy -- which was fantastic. I am pretty darn sure if *I* had just given birth and someone came in with a camera I might start throwing things at them. But not this lady, she was too blissed out for any of that.And in other news, Magda ate a bee today in the backyard. She is such a fool. Trust me that she learned that lesson the hard way... I had to try not to laugh out loud as she hopped around the yard wiping her mouth with her paw afterward.
