so busted

We had a few friends over tonight for a cookout and to watch "Zombieland" screened outdoors. It was a perfect summer night, and we had a ton of fun catching up with this particular group. Many of these friends are the folks that I see at concerts and whom I've met in the photo pit. In case you haven't noticed, there' haven't been a lot of shows going on around here (or at least shows that I'm interested in attending). So we gathered tonight for good food and a movie.And have I mentioned how much the dogs love it when we have company? There's all these new people to lick! And herd! And mooch food from!Back to the photo above, though. I got these popcorn bags from the hardware store (our hardware store has free popcorn while you shop -- it's awesome). They gave me the bags FOR FREE. I will now be a very loyal ACE hardware customer. Anyway! I filled the bags with popcorn for everyone during the movie, and at the end of the night we were cleaning up, and Merlin seemed to be missing. That is, until I found him with that long snout of his in one of the extra popcorn bags chowing down on the leftover goods. This is so unlike him -- he minds so well. I guess it's a true testament as to how delicious and buttery that popcorn really was.
