the collie

It was our last morning at the lake, and I wanted to get a photo of my boy enjoying the breeze. While he doesn't derive pleasure from the water or swimming the way his sister does, he still has a wonderful time smelling all the wildlife and exploring in the woods while we're up north. We stayed at the lake until noon, and then reluctantly climbed into the car and drove back to Minneapolis. After unpacking and showering etc, we headed out to a cookout and then to see a concert (right back in the thick of it!). It was a fun night and great to catch up with all of our friends, but I'm going to tell you, the hardest part of the day was how sore my feet were. Because I had to wear shoes. Because I've been at the lake for seven days and there has been no shoes (or maybe flip flops). Man, that was a good trip.Oh! And the concert! I got to see Those Darlins, Jeff the Brotherhood (who were GREAT!) and Best Coast. You can see photos from the show over here.
