This is Murray, and he is a sweet and spicy senior dog. He's 13 but has more energy than you’d think! He's from West Virginia and is recovering from multiple fur and skin issues, an ear infection and some vision loss due to eye infections. He's battled all of that, and now he just needs a home and someone to take care of him. And now that he's feeling better, he is so much more spunky and fun!Murray loves going with humans on errands and for walks -- he's great in the car and great next to you on the couch. He's good with other dogs, and he loves to be petted and snuggled -- he'll lean into you to ask for such love. To see Murray's adoption information, look here. About this projectFor the next month, I’ll feature photos on my blog, my instagram and my facebook feeds that focus on dogs who need homes. These are dogs currently in foster homes, waiting for their forever family. They are amazing pups who will melt your hearts — some are hard to adopt because they are pit bull mixes (the sweetest dogs ever who cannot help their strength) or they have lived on the streets for a long time and are covered in scars or they might be blind or deaf (or both). Some are simply hard to get adopted because they are black, which is the dumbest reason ever. But each dog that has come into my studio in the last few weeks for photos has had a warm heart and wanted nothing more than love. Wouldn’t it be great if one of you could provide that? I hope so. To see all the dogs featured so far, look here. Also, special shout out to Lucy & Co. for donating all of the amazing bandanas!

jazzy will melt your heart

Oh, this sweet girl Jazzy is here to love you up real good. She's one year old and a petit little thing weighing in at about 25 lbs. She would be an amazing apartment or condo dog as she loves to play and go for walks, and she doesn't need a huge fenced in yard or anything like that (although she wouldn't turn it down, either!).She loves to play with other dogs, and would do well as a second dog in the house, but she's also content to snuggle up on the couch with her people and roll over for a good belly rub. She is just so sweet -- during my shoot with her, she kept leaving her spot in front of the lights to come lean into me for more pets. I promise you won't regret bringing this sweetheart home. For adoption information on this little lady, look here. And do it quickly! The more time you get with this girl, the better. This is Byron! He is a mellow 3-year-old bulldog mix who is super friendly and good with cats. Byron is a bit of a couch potato, but will entertain you with some tricks as long as treats are involved. He loves car rides, which is a good thing since he was brought up here all the way from Mississippi! But he's pretty happy to just run errands and meet new friends around the city.Byron is crate trained, and is happy to sleep there. You can read more about him and get his adoption information here About this projectFor the next month, I’ll feature photos on my blog, my instagram and my facebook feeds that focus on dogs who need homes. meet connie!

This is Connie, and she is SO ADORABLE and sweet and quiet and perfect. She is six months old and she was found with her siblings in a pen covered in mud. She wasn't socialized well as a young pup, so she's a tad timid in new situations, but she warms up really fast.Connie is great with dogs and is playful with cats. She's a quiet pup -- not too mouthy or hyper, and she only barks when other dogs are barking. She also loves to play -- and is particularly fond of fetch and tug of war.To learn how to adopt this sweet girl, check out her adoption page here. Oh this girl is a sweetie. Paisley is four years old and is super smart and super, super lovey. She is so happy around people, and she's a big fan of snuggling. She's great at going to her crate when asked and she's fine with older kids. She could be good living with a dog as well, but she would need a longer introduction just to be sure.

Her favorite hobbies (besides kisses and snuggling) include playing fetch and chewing on a bone. To read more about her or get adoption information, look over here.

meet polar bear

This is Polar Bear and these photos do not even begin to do this girl justice. She is only 5 mos. old, and she was a stray found down south and brought up here for adoption. She has the cutest tan marbling on her ears, a spotted nose and spots on her chin. Delightful! She just arrived this week, and she'll probably go quickly because she is sweet as molasses and is quiet and charming. She loves walks and riding in the car and is generally just a wonderful find. She's another one of these pups that I would bring home immediately if my house weren't already full. If you are looking for a companion, reach out to her foster right now! You can do that here. meet jed

This is Jed, and he is so much smaller than he looks in these photos! I mean, don't get me wrong, he's a strong guy. But he is such a petit dog in person! Jed is 3 and a half years old and is super duper snuggly. He loves attention, snuggling (did we mention that?) and long walks. He's also amazingly smart and well trained. He's good with dogs, cats and kids, so there's really no reason not to bring him home! And yes, his ears stay like that! One up and one down! I love it!To see his adoption information, go here.About this projectFor the next month, I’ll feature photos on my blog, my instagram and my facebook feeds that focus on dogs who need homes. oh venus!

post by leslie

Oh kids, you know I love me some BIG DOGS. And this girl qualifies! Weighing in at 120 lbs, she is the definition of a gentle giant.Venus is six years old, and she's not a big, strong, wild and crazy beast. She's a quiet girl who will walk by your side and will bond with her owner. She wants to sleep in your bed (I hope you have a King!), snuggle with you relentlessly and maybe go for a car ride. She doesn't do great with other dogs as she is very possessive of her food and her toys, so it would be great if she could be the only dog in the house. That said, she's ok with older kids. She's well trained with sit, stay, speak and is learning fetch! She's also crate trained, and her crate is included with the adoption. If you're interested in bringing her home, you can get more information over here.About this projectFor the next month, I’ll feature photos on my blog, my instagram and my facebook feeds that focus on dogs who need homes.
