I love watching the ferns open up in early spring. I think it's amazing how fast it happens and how tight they wind up. It reminds me of an alien life form. ... Cuz, you know me. It all comes back to aliens and monsters.

Tonight vita.mn hosted a special prescreening of the new Star Trek movie, and it was AWESOME. I cannot tell you how long it has been since I went to a movie, and came out happy with it (I'm looking at you, Pineapple Express).

After the film, we all headed to Crave for drinks and appetizers. Since cameras were forbidden in the theater, this was the shot I got. I would have MUCH rather posted a picture of Sylar playing Spock. That was some damn fine casting.

We went to Chuck and Don's tonight to get supplies for the dogs. I took my camera in hopes of shooting photos of their 28-year-old gray parrot that I adore. But the parrot wasn't in the store, so I had to settle for these peacock-feather cat toys. I love the pop of the blue.

I was hoping for something much more artistic with this shot of dinner, but I had a lot of work to get done tonight, so this was a quickie.

Margaret came over (I made pasta primavera for us) and we worked on some web stuff. The good news? I finally updated all of my portfolio stuff. That is a wonderful feeling.
