Another photo shoot tonight, but for this one I was the art director, not the photographer. This was one of my favorite looks of the evening. That gold top was stunning. It was a 12-hour day, and I'm officially exhausted.

Toby and I headed to Cedar Lake today to shoot some promo photos for his band. He was so fun to shoot -- he was in the water immediately and up for anything.
Jamie and I went to the State Fair tonight, and it was cold, which was a new twist. We had never been to the fair at night -- we usually try to hit it in the morning before the crowds arrive. The lights and sunset were such a bonus. It was a great time. You can see a few more of my photos from our fair visit here. Enjoy!
Jamie and I ventured over to the Motorhead concert tonight at First Ave. I wouldn't say we are big fans of the band, but it seemed like it was something that maybe we should see in our lifetime. And man, was that crowd a sight! We even saw Motorhead Drag Queens! Tough. As. Nails. I tell you what. Just the spectacle was worth it.
I had a dentist appointment today, and they took this 360 degree xray. I love xrays. I am fascinated by bones and scans. Can you see my route canal? Cool, huh? And if you look closely you can see my JAW BONES. Maybe I'll be an x-ray technician in my next life. By the way? Cavity-free, baby.
We took the dogs for a walk tonight around Lake Harriet around sunset. Beautiful, isn't it? Man, I love summers in Minneapolis.
We had a crazy thunderstorm early this morning (maybe around 5 a.m.) and man, does that scare the crap out of Memphis. We had crying, whimpering, pacing, shaking and a little snuggling if we could get her still enough. Then we had a handyman at the house later this morning for some work, and between those two events, Memphis was PASSED OUT all afternoon. I love how her ear is smushed against the couch here. Sleepy, sleepy girl.
You know summer is ending when the high school band starts practicing up and down our neighborhood streets. I snapped this with my iphone today while walking the dogs. And by the way, the dogs sat and stayed, just mesmerized by the talent of this drum squad ;)
