I walk by this sign every night when I leave the office. Tonight most of the lights were off when I left, and I liked the drama of the lighting.

Margaret and I finished a much dreaded presentation tonight, and it went swimmingly. So we celebrated by leaving the college, crossing the street, and shooting portraits in the cornfield. Cuz that's how we roll.

Margaret, her friend Ellie and I waited in line tonight to catch the new Harry Potter movie. The film was good. Never as good as the book though. And teen angst, oh my! But still good.

And omg, you should have seen the people watching in this line. There were adults older than me, with NO kids, dressed as full on wizards fondling their wands. Literal wands. Get your minds out of the gutter.

I snapped this shot with my iPhone while walking around Lake Calhoun this morning with Julie. I love the new Polaroid app I got -- the processing is spot on. Plus, notice the stark white sailboat in the left corner. Absolutely zero photoshop work has been done to this image. Straight from the phone, my dears.

Nyberg and I had our monthly dinner tonight. We wanted something simple, so we went to Tejas, and I had their tortilla soup. Delicious! Nyberg surprised me with dark brown hair. That woman always keeps me on my toes!

before/after

Welcome to my Wednesday. Each Wednesday is deadline day for vita.mn, so I'm at my desk for about 11 hours of the day. Which makes it tricky to shoot something for this blog, no?So today I thought I would show you the transformation of my desk through the day. It starts out pretty neat, but by the end it's a complete disaster. Also, it's not as incredibly sunny around the newspaper (literally OR metaphorically) as it appears in this photo. I had to really adjust the settings since my desk area is dark as a dungeon to avoid glare on my monitors. Sorry about that. It looks like heaven is calling from the windows.
