What a cutie, eh? This is Bug, and his mom brought him in for some portraits yesterday. This little guy has had a ton of health problems lately, and we'll just say it seems he might be a little day-to-day right now. But man, not at this shoot! He was like a pup! Running around and discovering toys and hopping and getting treats. We had a great time!Besides this cutie, I also have been shooting some rock'n'roll this weekend (about time, eh?). If you'd like to see the shots from last night's Replacements Tribute at First Avenue, they are up over here. If you'd like to see images from the Titus Andronicus show on Thanksgiving, they are up over here. And now I'm going to go settle in next to the fire and not think about taking any photos. Until that shoot I have tomorrow morning at 9 am, that is.
Ah yes, this is a little more like it, eh? A little more rock'n'roll? Man it was fun to hit up the Entry for a good old-fashioned punk show last night. Titus Andronicus were super fun and a much needed ending to the holiday -- although I did miss seeing their former guitarist Amy up there. I believer her happy dancing added the perfect balance to the angry punk of the rest of the band. But nonetheless, it was a fun show with a lot of great music and energy.I was a bit torn on what to publish today because I also had a shoot with an adorable dog this morning... but I think I'll save that guy for tomorrow. We'll see. I literally have four shoots between midnight last night and midnight tonight, and zero shoots tomorrow. So no matter what, tomorrow's image will also be from today. It's busy 'round here! And tomorrow? That's the day I collapse.
Hello everyone! Are you as full as I am? Because holy cow, was that dinner delicious. I'm heading out to a show at First Ave later, but the band won't go on until almost midnight, so you'll get to see those photos tomorrow. Also? Do you wanna know what I'm thankful for? THE SNOW THAT CAME TONIGHT. Man, was that ever pretty. Minneapolis? You steal my heart.
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Man, I am. But I do wish that it was colder out. It's supposed to be 62 tomorrow, and that just doesn't feel right -- that feels like a California turkey day, not a Minnesota one. Ah well, I'll still enjoy it anyway.Tonight when I got home, this gorgeous calendar was waiting for me. I'll be selling these beauties at my art show in ELEVEN DAYS. Are you tired of me talking about this thing? I'm sorry. I promise you'll get a few days reprive after this.Anyway, the paper on this calendar is just delicious, as is the design. Plus, each page is standalone (no prints on the backs) so you could frame them afterward. The calendar will have photos of The Hold Steady, P.O.S., Free Energy, Dessa and Retribution Gospel Choir just to name a few -- all Minnesota artists. One hundred percent of the profits go to the P.O.S. kidney fund. And you know what? It sure would make a great holiday gift...
So what do we have here? Some of my prints for my upcoming art show are starting to come in -- and man, is that fun or WHAT? I have some super big prints coming in and these smaller ones, and it's just pretty dang cool hold them all in my hands. You should come and see them in person. And you should buy them. And all the profits will help P.O.S. get a new kidney, and you can feel all warm and fuzzy this holiday season!Sunday, Dec. 2 at Republic at Seven Corners. See you there.
