Yesterday after a long day working in the studio, Lucy and I went for a walk downtown to see what was happening around Target Center (where Trump was expected to speak later that night). Here are a few photos.

One of the coolest parts of staying on the EFA last week was exploring the mouth of the Encampment River. The association has built some of the most gorgeous foot bridges and paths I've ever hiked on, and this one was no exception. But even better than the architecture of the bridge was the bubbles in the river below. Lucy and I were mesmerized and have a million shots to prove it. Enjoy!
And finally, one more shot of me on the bridge from Lucy. Excellent framing, dear!
So today I'm featuring photos of Lake Superior itself -- in all its glory. Some are shot by me and some by Lucy, but that top one (my favorite) is Lucy's. I want to hang that bad boy in my house.I still cannot believe I am lucky enough to live so close to this majestic body of water. What a treasure.
Oh what a weekend! We went up north for my Fall Mini Sessions (you should REALLY join us next year!) and had a ball.I photographed a bunch of families in the woods and on cliffs and on the beach, and one morning I stumbled upon this cute little leaf covered in droplets that I shot between family sessions.I have so, so many photos to share (especially from Lucy's and I's journey to the EFA), but I need to unpack and catch up on email. Just know there are some real treasures headed here soon.
As mentioned yesterday, the two of us went up to the North Shore on Monday, and we have so many beautiful photos from our hikes in the woods! Today it's all about the water droplets after the rain. Enjoy!
Lucy and I escaped to the Encampment Forest Association on the North Shore for less than 24 hours on Monday. We have been dying to explore this area for years, and we were so lucky to finally get the chance.I suspect we have at least a week's worth of photos to share with you, but taking a day off during my busy season indeed has consequences, and I really need to dig into a huge pile of work right now.So in the meantime, I'll leave you with this glimpse of the most gorgeous forest I have yet to see in Minnesota. This was the view from my bed when I woke up Tuesday morning.More later, I promise.
