friends
Tonight was Meredith's going away party. This was my third going away party since October -- all for very dear friends of mine. I'm going to try not to dwell on the sucktastic nature of saying goodbye to so many close friends, but rather on the good fortune for them. And the fact that clearly I befriend very creative and independent souls who have wonderful life experiences ahead of them. Yes. I'm just gonna keep telling myself that.Anyway, back to the photo. Ms. Meredith, on the right (obviously) is here with our buddy Eric (who is not leaving! who, in fact, is BREEDING! very exciting). Tonight was her going away party at the 501 bar before she moves to Barcelona where she will teach English to throngs of hot Spanish men (here's hoping). The good news is that she is such a special person that like 100 people came to say goodbye. The bad part is that I couldn't just stuff her into the bathroom and hog her to myself all night (lord knows I tried). But alas, her very last night in town is tomorrow night at First Ave where we'll both be shooting the Dawes concert. Yes! A concert! My blog might gain a *little* excitement! That is if I can remember how to shoot a show -- it seems like it has been forever. But back to Meredith, I'm suuuuuure we'll have time for proper goodbye's tomorrow night at the club with the band and the 1,300 other people there. Shouldn't be a problem at all. Sigh.Damn, I'm gonna miss this lady.
