guilty goodbyes

1009magssmThis was the scene this morning as we comforted Mags by telling her that yes, we will in fact return to pick her up in a few days. It's always hard to drop her off at the dog sitter's house -- no matter how much she loves it there. And I'm always so, so happy to get her back when we return. But then again, vacations are mandatory in our family. We landed in Ohio around 4 pm today after living out my own personal nightmare of attempting to parent a toddler during a meltdown on an airplane, who also cannot have his diaper changed because the drink carts have blocked you in and so between the tears and the glares of fellow passengers, you soon feel wet warmth on your lap. Yeah guys. Living the dream over here. But we survived! And hopefully we never (ever, ever) have to see any of those people from that airplane again. And now that I have shattered any remnants of cool that I might have still maintained, let me steer you to the internet share of the day, where my friend Andrea picks up the cool factor of the entire world and tells you how she attended a private Prince concert last night at Paisley Park. WITH MADONNA. Yeah. Amazing.
