meanwhile, over at the graveyard

This morning I left the house at 7 am to get to a newborn shoot on the other side of town, and it was so foggy and spooky and lovely outside! I drove past my very favorite cemetery on the way there, and was cursing that I didn't have enough time to stop and shoot because the fog was so thick, and I would have begged and pleaded for some sort of scary Halloween shoot at that very location. But alas, I had an adorable 2 week old waiting, so I hurried on.However, on my way home I saw the cemetery was finally open and there was a little fog left, so I drove in hoping for some images. Man, I love this place. It is gorgeous and peaceful and I always want to just wander around and look at headstones and such, but since I'm very bad at remembering cemetery etiquette (where to walk?), I just snapped images from the paths/roads. I did love this tree in particular as you can see where all the leaves landed and how the color jumps out of the gray morning. Pretty soon the leaves will have all fallen and you will be back to getting more photos of dogs instead of trees. But for now, you must bear with me as this is the most lovely autumn I can remember, and it's pleasing me to no end.
