There weren't a ton of shows in town tonight that we were dying to see, so instead we asked a few of our geeky friends to join us for dinner and pinball at this suburban arcade that we sometimes visit. And wait. I mean "geeky" in the best possible way.So we picked up Eric and grabbed dinner at Punch before heading out to Hopkins for a night of pure nerdery (where Kyle and Sean met up with us). It was way more fun than I even anticipated because Eric had played *so many* of these games before, and he introduced us to some fun new ones (well, new to us). My favorites were World Cup Pinball and my old standby, Mars Attacks. After the arcade, we headed to a bar (since sadly no beer is served at the arcade) in "downtown" Hopkins, which was packed full, had pitchers of High Life for $10.25 and played possibly the most eclectic jukebox selections ever (Vanilla Ice, Bob Segar, Marilyn Manson and then random death metal). Overall, a wonderful Nerds Night Out.
