the always sexy miss jenny lewis

I know, this is not Magda. I promise to feature her later this week! But for now, I wanted to show you some photos from last night's Jenny Lewis show over at First Avenue. As usual, the show was super fun (although man, was it hot in there!). And the club was FANTASTIC as well, holding a chair for me with amazing site lines so I could sit and get off my feet after the first 3 songs (when we're allowed to shoot).Even in this, um, whale-like larger state, it was so fantastic to be back taking photos at First Avenue. Photographing musicians is definitely me in my happiest of places.You can see more photos from the show over here. Enjoy!And for your internet share of the day, I loved this interview with Ms. Lewis that the NY Times magazine did. My favorite excerpt was this:

...She told a story about the day President Obama came to visit a compound not far from Mint Chip. She wanted to go out for a run, but a Secret Service member stopped her and told her she needed an ID if she wanted to get back through the security cordon. “I was like, ‘Dude, I’m wearing short shorts,’ ” Lewis said. " ‘You’ll remember me.’ ”

Ha! Damn straight. Those legs are unforgettable.
