the evening rig

Tonight I caught The Evening Rig and 4onthefloor over at the Triple Rock. They're starting a new feature at the club called "Two bands, one cup" where you buy a big plastic 'souvenir' cup of PBR and it's $2.50 refills all night long. These two bands were perfect to kick off the series as they both, well, love their beer.I always look forward to seeing The Evening Rig perform because they're one of those bands that will play (or attempt to play) any song you request whether they know it or not, and they have a hard time ending the show because they're having so much fun. I had never seen 4onthefloor before, but man they were a good time as well. I'll totally look out for them around town again soon. Oh! And these two acts are playing together again on Jan. 20 at Palmers. Go catch 'em if you can. And here are a few more show pictures, if you're interested.Also? This was a more "intimate" show, which meant the bands played not on stage, but rather on the floor back by the soundboard. Which was nice and cozy, but DARK AS HELL. So please excuse the graininess of these photos. In fact, just embrace it's rock'n'roll attitude, if you will.
