acupuncture for my boy
See that little bit of blue smack in the middle of Merlin's forehead? That's one of his acupuncture needles. It's tough to see because it's a very light blue. But look at the bottom of the white V in his forehead, and you'll find it. There's another one further back and a bunch on his back and his hips and down on all of his feet. And he took it like a champ.Normally, when my boy visits the vet, he's barky and impatient and a touch demanding for treats. Today? That needle above his eyes was the first one to go in and he laid down and was calm as could be. Magda better watch it or I might come at her forehead with a pin cushion. It was amazing to see how calm and relaxed Merlin was instantly. It will be even more interesting to see if it helps his pain this week.Oh... and that stuff on his nose is dried pumpkin. Clearly his mom needs to get better about wiping his face off after breakfast. For your internet share of the day, I've got a few maps for you (man, do I think maps are fascinating). First, a journalist divided the United States into 11 nations based on culture and societal beliefs. Second, a map of the U.S. based on all the roads. It reminds me of seeing the country at night and how the light patterns fall. And now, I have a link for all you cat people out there! I bet you thought I had forgotten all about you kitty lovers, eh? A while back I got to photograph a cat dressed up in costumes. Yup. Pretty surreal. And now those photos are in a cat calendar. So if you are in need of a 2014 calendar (and you don't want my dog or nature calendar...), you might consider this!
