Robin and Tom

post by leslie

You guys, I had the most amazing wedding last month. Lucy and I were *thrilled* to photograph Tom and Robin getting married at Big Stone (my favorite mini golf course!). These two had the best party and the best color and the best decorations. And the bride made EVERYTHING! It was fantastic. And? These two are about to be on television! They are both contestants on Holy Moly, which debuts on ABC on my birthday. I can't wait to see them compete -- doesn't it look hilarious? Please scroll through. You have GOT to see her shoes.

So besides shooting the amazing Lizzo last month, we also had a few weddings (and by "we" I mean myself and Lucy, shooting together, which is my FAVORITE way to shoot a wedding!).Below are images from Brittany and Brandon's wedding, which was so hilarious and fun. They got married at the Amsterdam Bar in St. Paul, and instead of having a DJ, all their friends played cover songs from the stage! And even the bride and groom got up and performed! And it was a riot and everyone's face hurt from all the smiling. Also, one of the bride's VERY favorite musicians, Justin Pierre from Motion City Soundtrack, came and sang a few songs and it was amazing. The expressions and the singing during that set was so damn cool. Anyway, enjoy the photos below!

Grace & Josh

Post by Lucy

On December 27th, I had the pleasure of photographing a very intimate wedding that included the couple and their immediate families. The pair, Grace and Josh, got ready in their room at the Hewing Hotel before heading over to the St. Paul Courthouse for a civil ceremony. We built in time in the day to take getting ready photos, and to take family portraits as well. This couple filled their day with so much meaning. From beautiful outfits, to incorporating family momentos, to writing beautiful vows, these two created a celebration that spectacularly marked their day. I’m so glad I was able to capture it!

Well this wedding season ended with a bang!Last week was my last couple of 2017, and their wedding was stunning. It was held at the American Swedish Institute (which I highly recommend!), and the entire day was fabulous. This couple were so sweet and the toasts were so genuine (and hilarious!) and there was so much warmth and love. It was a wonderful treat, and the perfect way to end the year. More photos below, please enjoy! And, I must say, I could not have captured this nearly as beautifully without the wonderful help / second shooting from the fabulous Lucy. Thanks, lady!

Last week, I got to photograph two of my friends getting married in a tiny ceremony in a huge church surrounded by those they loved most.I am certain I have told you before, but photographing weddings for people I know is just about the greatest honor ever, and this was no exception. Also, I think I've mentioned how much I adore small weddings. This one had a guest count of twenty. That's right, twenty. It was intimate and sweet and perfect.More photos below -- enjoy!

I had a gorgeous wedding on Friday at the Basilica, and man was it HOT. And I wasn't even the one in formal wear! But this was such a wonderful and intimate wedding -- only 20 guests! I'll blog more about it later this week (and more photos!), but I wanted to tease you just a bit with this beautiful bride. For your internet shares of the day:+ This made me snort with laughter at my desk. Happy Monday!+ This story stunned me. As if freshman year isn't hard enough?+ Have you heard about this gravity blanket? I am intrigued. But for now I'll just throw a heavy quilt on the bed for winter.

A few weekends ago, I photographed this lovely couple as they tied the knot before climbing onto a very impressive yacht where we sailed up and down the St. Croix river for a few hours in celebration. It rained almost all day, but I loved the moodiness of the light, and the fog around the boat was magical. You'll see what I mean.Plus? Rain brings good luck on a wedding day! And? The party bus the wedding party traveled in was all white on the inside which was super lucky for me and the light it gave to the images. This might be the only time you hear me say it, but "yay for the party bus!"More images below! Enjoy! Also, please know I could not have shot this all without the help of the amazing Lucy. What a gem, she is!

Saturday's wedding was a wet one, but you know what they say -- rain on your wedding day is good luck! You'll see more from this couple later, but I wanted to get you this sneak peek straight away. For your internet shares of the day:+ The creativity of artists will never cease to amaze me. These are wonderful.+ Every single news site should implement this commenting strategy.+ Did you know some Minnesota housewives were responsible for the slogan "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"? I love this background!
