way up high

0922tahoesmHave I mentioned that I'm afraid of heights? Today we took a gondola up Heavenly mountain in Tahoe to see the sights from up high -- and it was lovely (and terrifying). I like that you can really see how beautifully blue the water is from this high up, and that you can see the dusting on the mountaintops because it snowed a little last night! I really wish these heights didn't bother me so much, as the photos from these angles are so grand.Anyway, after that excitement, Jamie and I drove back to Sacramento (stopping at In-n-Out for lunch! Yay!), and we got to see the entire family upon arrival. Have I mentioned how nuts I am about all of my nieces and nephews? Because, you guys, it is so much fun to catch up with these fantastic kids. We went on a drive along the delta, visited a Chinese western town (no, really!) and then had a picnic at a winery before heading home for a long walk, steak dinner and Breaking Bad. Do you see why I adore these people? So many good times. For your internet share of the day, I'm going to tell you about a site I'm really enjoying right now called roadtrippers.com. You can plan amazing road trips using their data and reviews, and they help with driving routes, accommodations, attractions and all kinds of goodies. I'm planning a trip for the west coast (again) coming up in a few weeks, and this site has been invaluable. I am pretty sure I'll use it for all future trips as well!
